Aims and Objectives
 
The association was established by Liverpool John Moores University and the University of Liverpool, to offer a forum for research in popular fiction and to support the teaching and understanding of popular fiction in an interdisciplinary context.
 
to encourage contact and exchange between European and international researchers
to facilitate interdisciplinary contact
to circulate a quarterly newsletter which publicises and reviews seminars, conferences, other activities and information concerning developments in the field and associated areas
to hold an annual conference
to promote publication within the field, which will enable and expand current undergraduate teaching and independent study
to publish Diegesis a biannual refereed journal
to establish a network of researchers within the field of popular fiction across a range of narrative media and practice
